Morgan Johnson is a recent graduate from Chapman University with a degree from the Argyros School of Business, emphasizing finance and data analytics. During his internship at Talonvest, he handled historic and pro-forma underwriting for Construction, Bridge, and Perm loans, drafted initial financing packages, participated in transaction status calls, and assisted in data collection and analysis for market sales comps. He also consolidated large amounts of data into a new CRM system.
Morgan received the Todd Washington Award from the Omega Chi chapter of Phi Gamma Delta for his leadership and dedication. As chapter treasurer, he managed substantial budgeting and financial responsibilities, successfully resurfacing his chapter from substantial debt. Additionally, he served as Risk Chair and New Member Education for his fraternity.
Morgan’s skills include underwriting, coding VBA Macros, Python, Tableau, and Data Grip, with certifications from Wall Street Prep in financial modeling, DCF modeling, M&A, and LBO modeling. He has volunteered for the Ben Carlson Foundation, paddling 30 miles to raise ocean safety awareness, and with the Make-A-Wish Foundation through his fraternity. Additionally, Morgan is a former ocean lifeguard, highlighting his commitment to safety and community service.
